Well, I went and saw the Watchmen Director's Cut yesterday morning at the Rave Theatre in Dallas. Even though I live in Dallas, I still had to make an hour drive to get to the theater (is it spelled theater or theatre btw?). My fiancee and I went bright and early and got to take a few pics. Here's the movie poster in direct sunlight (lol):

And this is the movie theater:

When I first saw theater 2 years ago, I honestly thought it was a dance club! XD
Anyway, the movie was great! I really enjoyed all that extra crap, especially Hollis Mason's scene. :) The flashbacks were a great addition. There was also more Rorschach and Nite Owl talking/arguing scenes which helped to affirm my belief that they regularly had sex in Archie (but weren't necessarily in love). And it was great getting to see the first character that I fell in love with: Dr.Manhattan! GAWD what a sexy bod! XD I never noticed how great his ass was... and now I think I like the color blue more than ever... :3
BUT, ALAS--there was one thing that I was VERY disappointed by! It wasn't the movie... it was the theater attendance. There were only like... 10 people there in total! I was like WTF!! I mean, yeah, I saw the 10:45 am showing, but when I saw the early morning screening of the Wolverine movie, there were at least 25 people there! :( I was very unhappy with this. I definitely expected more people to be there. I feel so sad for all the folks who worked on this wonderful movie! I hope the DVD sales pick it up...
Okay well, aside from that screening, an interesting thing that I'd like to report is that I found out what Rorschach thinks of Jackie Earle Haley! :)

Rorschach twitters due to the fact that he no longer has his journal (or a journal, period). You should add him as a friend... right now.
Till next time, fellow LJ users! :)

EDIT: OH! I forgot to mention! If you're in the Dallas area, there are still tickets available for the Watchmen Director's Cut! Go get 'em! :D www.movietickets.com/house_detail.asp
